Helping families and schools safely and smartly incorporate technology into their lives and learning
Hi, I'm Martine Oglethorpe
“I am a mother to 5 boys with a background in secondary education and a Masters in Counselling. Through my personal and professional work with families raising children today, I recognise the important role technology plays in the lives of young people today and thus the role we can play in not only their safety, but their social and emotional wellbeing.
I have a passionate interest in helping families to safely navigate the modern world of parenting in a way that offers understanding as well as practical and realistic strategies. I am an accredited speaker with the Office of the eSafety Commissioner and have presented to numerous parent groups, schools and teachers around Australia. Regular workshops with young people also ensures I have the most relevant perspective and up to date information on what it means to grow up today.”
There is so much misinformation, so many click bait headlines and fear based judgement about how we should be raising young people today. I know my personal and professional experience allows me to cut through all of that, to give you the facts, the research, the strategies that have worked and the listening ear to understand the challenges faced by us all.

Building resilience in a digital world must be a priority for our kids today. What does digital resilience actually mean? A while ago now resilience
